Mississippi to host the most coveted youth baseball tournament of the year

Posted on

Youth baseball will take over the city of Ocean Springs, Mississippi for a two week period beginning July 7th. This premier travel tournament will be played at the sprawling Ocean Springs Sports Complex minutes from the beaches of the gulf coast. The week-long event will feature teams from up to 40 states and 4 countries in six different age groups ranging from 9u-14u. Each team will play anywhere between 6-10 games during their stay but the tournament schedulers give each team a day off to spend the day at the Gulf Islands Waterpark for free. The organizers of this great event, Youth Baseball Nationals, fill this action-packed week up with opening ceremonies, a fanzone, parties, showcases, awards ceremonies, and even an all star game culminating the week.

There were over 100 teams that were turned away last year due to the high demand. The KSN is fortunate enough to be able to sponsor the Buzz Lightning Baseball Academy 13u team that made it in this year from Austin, Texas. We’ll be providing updates on our Instagram & Facebook pages throughout the tournament.
